Why is it important?
Our findings show that Palestinian workers with unsafe exposure to occupational noise are at risk of non-reversible hearing deficits. These findings highlight the importance of implementing hearing laws and regulations in developing countries like Palestine.
Perspectives
This research study was among the first of its type in Palestine. The data collected from Palestinian workers represent a novel contribution to better understanding the effects of occupational noise exposure on hearing function both on a local and international level. The online nature of this study was also novel and is promising as potentially valid research tool for future studies.
