What is it about?
This work describes a ten-year partnership where Canadian speech language pathology students complete a ten-week clinical placement in Kenya. This work includes perspectives of the Kenyan SLPs responsible for hosting and supervising students, the clinical placement director in Canada and the students themselves. The varied perspectives reveal different advantages and disadvantages to the collaboration. Moving forward, it is necessary for speech pathology associations to develop best practice frameworks for international engagement.
