What is it about?

Bay Pines and Boston VAHCS have offered group Progressive Tinnitus Management workshops since 2009. This article reviews clinical outcomes and responses from Veterans who have participated regarding their post-workshop ability to manage reactions to tinnitus and the impact on quality of life.

Why is it important?

This is the first published 5 year retrospective of clinical application of Progressive Tinnitus Management Level 3 workshops in the VA.

Perspectives

Tinnitus is the #1 service connected disability of Veterans and has been since 2007. This retrospective was completed to review the effectiveness of the tinnitus group workshops and lend support to the allocation of time and resources to the program.
