What is it about?

Critics on CAPD diagnosis forget its inclusion in ICD-10. ICD-10 code for CAPD was included in the chapter Assessment of individuals suspected or diagnosed with central auditory processing disorder: a medical perspective D Bamiou, V Iliadou (2013) in Chermak, GD and Musiek, FE, (eds.) Handbook of Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Volume II Comprehensive Intervention. Plural Publishing Inc: San Diego.

Why is it important?

One must be very careful when reading "tutorials". Search & think before you draw conclusions. Scientific articles are not supposed to be following "billable" ICD codes which in this case showed a lag of 2 years!

Perspectives

If we are to agree that CAPD/APD is a neurodevelopmental disorder then we will find out that its diagnosis is more accurate and precise than many other neurodevelopmental disorders that are diagnosed based exclusively on questionnaires and symptoms.
