What is it about?

Oral motor intervention has been developed because many preterm infants have problems with oral feeding. In order to explore the effect of oral motor intervention on oral feeding in preterm infants, the review collected a series of clinical trials and conducted systematic data analysis.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that oral motor intervention could shorten transition time for oral feeding and length of hospital stay, as well as increase feeding efficiency and weight gain in preterm infants.

Perspectives

Writing this article gave me a better understanding of the development of this field, and I also want it to be known by more medical personnels. I hope to contribute to the development of related technologies through this article.
