Evaluation of Platelet Function through Single Platelet Adhesion

What is it about?

Blood platelets have exhibited powers beyond clotting in recent years. This work told a story how to quantitatively probe platelet adhesion in a confined environment and assess the platelet function through single platelets adhesion.

Why is it important?

The methodology of single platelets adhesion assay thus has the potential to enable a rapid, accurate point of care platform suitable to evaluation of platelet function, detection of dysfunctional platelets and assay of drug effects on platelet in cancer patients
