Obtaining gold microtubes using microorganisms as biotemplate

What is it about?

In this work, we present results regarding production of new metallic microtubes that mimic the morphology of filamenteous fungi. Also, we discuss in more details the assembly of Au nanoparticles on the cell wall of these microorganisms.

Why is it important?

In this work is presented for the first time, the production of template-free gold microtubes which replicate fungi morphologies.
