What is it about?
The X-waves are propagating packets which preserve their transverse size far across a longer distance than standard Gaussian beam packet. We triggered for the first time the ignition of a X-shaped packet in planar ie two-dimensional polariton fluid thanks to its nonlinear reshaping and observed its propagation during few tens of picosecond.
