What is it about?
Childhood maltreatment is a traumatic experience that can have a lasting impact on the individual’s mental health and wellbeing. As such, it is likely to affect online behaviors and vulnerability to harm in online spaces (cyberbullying, cybercrime, gender-based violence, etc.). This paper provides a comprehensive overview of existing research on the relationship between childhood maltreatment and online harms.
