What is it about?

The scale is a brief measure of commitment and satisfaction in a current relationship that was shortened and adapted from the larger Perceived Relationships Quality Components questionnaire by Fletcher, Simpson, and Thomas (2000).

Why is it important?

This is simple brief measure if researchers are interested in a snapshot of relationship commitment and satisfaction when they do not have the scope for a larger questionnaire in their study.

Perspectives

It's a good measure with adequate psychometric properties and good face validity.
