What is it about?

The Tyminski Social Skills Checklist-Revised (SSC-R) is a classroom-based instrument designed to assess children’s social behavior and behavioral change. The SSC-R consists of 20 items describing different aspects of children’s social skills at school (e.g., “The child gets along with peers”), and teachers respond to each item using a scale from 1 (“Very Poor”) to 5 (“Very much”). Quick and easy to use, the SSC-R enables teachers to provide comprehensive assessments of students’ social relations and behavioral change in educational environments, where children and adolescents spend a significant portion of their time, and where their social interactions are directly observable by teaching staff. The SSC-R can also be used to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, including group psychotherapy.
