What is it about?
This paper introduces some of the changes we hope to make to improve the journal by expanding our reach to diverse authors and readers and to highlight special and timely topics of interest to our readers. We also firmly aspire to be both quick and nice to authors with their submissions.

Why is it important?
I became editor-in-chief of Spirituality in Clinical Practice in 2019 and hope to build on the terrific work of founding editors, Lisa Miller and Len Sperry. We hope to offer more special issues and sections on compelling contemporary topics and include diverse voices from researchers and clinicians across the globe. Spirituality and religion is often ignored in the professional psychology research and practice communities. It is an element of diversity that gets little attention. We hope to address this issue most especially since most people who seek psychological services come from religious or spiritual backgrounds and their needs should be considered and addressed in clinical practice.
