What is it about?
This study looked at whether certain tests, called Performance Validity Tests (PVTs), are reliable and accurate for use in Indonesia. PVTs are tools used to check if someone is putting in their best effort during cognitive or neuropsychological tests. This is important because if someone isn’t trying their best, the test results might not be accurate.

Why is it important?
PVTs are commonly used in other countries, but they need to be checked to make sure they work well in different cultures and languages. This study focused on making sure these tests are a good fit for people in Indonesia.
Perspectives
It was interesting to see how Performance Validity Tests (PVTs) work in Indonesia. I learned that whether someone tries their best isn’t just influenced by the factors often discussed in Western studies, but also by cultural behaviors. For example, in Indonesia, people might feel polite, hesitant, or reluctant to ask for clarification if the test instructions aren’t clear. This can lead to lower scores on the PVTs, even if they’re trying their best.
