What is it about?
Changes in various aspects of religiosity and spirituality (R/S) differentially related to changes in well-being and changes in individuals beliefs regarding their ability to produce or avoid outcomes to meet needs or desires (i.e., control beliefs). Across middle and late adulthood, younger and older individuals showed different associations among changes in R/S, control beliefs, and well-being, with changes in religious coping and spirituality being particularly consequential for younger, compared to older, adults. This suggests generational shifts how individuals may identify with and utilize aspects of R/S.
