What is it about?

Amid Russia’s 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our study reveals critical insights into what shapes Germans’ support for Ukraine. The findings emphasize the role of moral beliefs and the challenges posed by fears of economic and societal repercussions. Policymakers and journalists might address these concerns and strengthen public solidarity by countering conspiracy narratives, promoting consensus-oriented messaging, and framing support for Ukraine in ways that resonate with both moral values and ingroup security concerns.
