What is it about?
Diversity officers are tasked with providing executive leaders strategic guidance along with improving the experience and outcomes for all campus stakeholders - all while navigating political rhetoric and action that seeks to undermine equity efforts. This article examines how diversity officers at four-year public universities in the U.S. navigate complex ethical decision-making within anti-equity sociopolitical contexts.

Why is it important?
With increasing anti-equity movements, politics, and practices becoming more commonplace in the U.S. and around the world, it is important to understand how diversity officers navigate a barrage of ethical decision-making personally and professionally.
Perspectives
It is imperative that researchers examine the lived experiences of those navigating anti-equity policies during precarious sociopolitical times, as popular and social media often share perspectives and narratives that are false or offer only part of a complex picture.
