What is it about?

Through a duoethnographic approach, this article examines how an intersectional lens can be applied to the study of Latino men in higher education. In doing so, we account for the role of research paradigms and worldviews as well as the application of intersectionality in research design and analysis.

Why is it important?

By focusing our efforts on Latinos, we expanded on theoretical and methodological understandings of historically marginalized populations. At the same time, with an increase in the application of intersectionality, we provide important considerations for individuals working with Latino men.

Perspectives

It was a great pleasure to work on this publication with my co-author and awesome friend. We have discussed the possibility of working together on a manuscript that discusses intersectionality, Latino men, and social identities in a qualitative context for some time. This was the starting point.
