What is it about?
Through an exploratory systematic content analysis of 20 years (2000–2020) of literature in two counseling psychology flagship journals, the Journal of Counseling Psychology and The Counseling Psychologist, this study identifies publication themes and gaps in counseling psychology research on Asian women in the United States.

Why is it important?
The article offers recommendations for researchers to study the experiences of Asian women in the United States using an intersectional lens and highlights implications for clinical practice with Asian women in the United States.
Perspectives
This article was driven by the limited literature on Asian women when I started my doctoral journey. I hope that it will continue to add to the rich legacy of Asian women in the U.S., while continuing to push the field of counseling psychology.
