What is it about?
False memory occurs when people believe something that is not true. Researchers use the term, "false memory" to describe many different things. However, these many different things do not relate well to each other statistically. For example, different measures of false memory seem to measure different things, rather than measuring the same thing.

Why is it important?
Researchers should pay close attention to how they measure false memory, and they should not assume that different false-memory measures measure the same thing.
Perspectives
This study took a long time to complete and write, but it was worth it. I hope that researchers can use our findings to inform their own future research on false memory.
