What is it about?
How are Latina-led YPAR spaces uniquely structured to facilitate the positive and sociopolitical development of Latina youth researchers? This paper explores the experiences of Latina youth within two YPAR programs and the cultural and gendered affirming practices that resonated with them.

Why is it important?
This study suggests that Latina youth researchers benefit from youth participatory action research spaces rooted in feminist, culturally aware, and anti-racist theories and practices. Spaces like these provide Latina youth a sense of care, opportunities to sustain their cultural assets, and avenues to disrupt white supremacy.
