What is it about?
The dangers posed by the antisemitism of white nationalists and similar groups encouraging violence against Jews are very real and should not be ignored or minimized. Unfortunately, however, more prominent and deceptive claims of antisemitism have been weaponized against supporters of Palestinian rights by those who want to silence legitimate criticism of Israel. To combat these distortions, it is essential that scholars and scientific publications adopt rigorous standards that prevent the inadvertent or intentional misrepresentation of these realities. This Commentary responds to an article about antisemitism, published in the American Psychologist, that fails to meet these standards.

Why is it important?
