Why is it important?
The results of this study can facilitate the understanding of why some victims participate in the police investigation, and the suggested risk management strategies, whereas other victims do not. We also examined the consequences associated with co-operation/withdrawal in terms of re-victimization as well as legal consequences (i.e. rates of prosecution and convictions) for the perpetrator.
