Why is it important?
There are currently several scales developed to measure moral injury although few of them can show changes in the internal experience of Moral Injury following treatment intervention. Additionally there are very few studies of treatment that are directly targeting mitigation of Moral injury. This study, using the new Moral Injury Scale showed significant decrease in Moral Injury Scale scores in veterans who completed the Veterans Treatment Court diversion interventions.
