Why is it important?

It is important in the sense that it helps the readers to better understand what is happening on the ground in Zimbabwe in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. It also helps different nations understand that when responding to pandemics like this one, they should not just use a one-size fits all approach but the interventions must be contextualised.

Perspectives

This publication offers knowledge on how a nation and its people respond to disastrous situations. The two may conflict in how they react towards the pandemic therefore it requires meaningful consultations and involvement of the lay people when nations try to respond to disasters. Nations must also try to respond to pandemics in a holistic manner so that they can meaningfully assist people.
