What is it about?

Bisexuality is the sexual orientation of being attracted to both men and women. We combined the results of 61 published and unpublished studies on men's and women's attitudes toward bisexual people and bisexuality. Overall, men, particularly heterosexual men, hold more negative attitudes toward bisexuality than do women, especially toward male bisexuality.

Why is it important?

Given the pervasiveness of prejudice against bisexual people ('biphobia'), interventions are needed to improve attitudes toward bisexuality, especially how men think and feel about bisexuality.
