What is it about?

The brief form measure has been identified as an important aspect of routine outcome monitoring in clinical practice with its ability to provide timely and actionable feedback and data to providers and patients. This paper shares the development and validation of the brief form of the Multicultural Orientation Inventory-Group Version (MCO-G), a 27-item measure of the group’s multicultural orientation.

Why is it important?

This new brief measurement may prove beneficial to group therapy facilitators and researchers interested in monitoring cultural processes over the course of therapy groups.

Perspectives

Multicultural Orientation has gotten so much attention recently. I wonder how the change in Multicultural Orientation influences therapy outcomes. A great brief scale that is suitable for repetitive measures is a great starting point for me.
