What is it about?

It is important that all youth receive effective interventions to prevent dating violence, given its high prevalence. The current study describes the development of a questionnaire, the Dating Violence Evaluation Questionnaire (DVEQ), to assess dating violence knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours. The results indicate that the DVEQ is a comprehensive and reliable evaluation instrument.

Why is it important?

The DVEQ can be used to evaluate levels of dating violence knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours, thereby informing the design of dating violence prevention programs by identifying specific deficits that need to be targeted.
