What is it about?

We used a technique called nanoLC MS/MS to determine the tear proteins dysregulated in dry eye. We found that a small set of tear proteins is correlated to dry eye severity.

These proteins can be used as biomarkers to monitor the progress of treatment in dry eye.

Perspectives

ROC analysis shows that a limited 4 panel protein may also be useful in dry eye.
