What is it about?
Novel ELPs, cyclo[FPGVG]n (n = 3–5) demonstrated stronger coacervation capacity.

Why is it important?
Because of strong coacervation potency of cyclo[FPGVG]n (n = 3–5) with low concentration requirements, the findings of this study could be useful to elucidate the coacervation mechanisms of short ELPs.
Perspectives
The cyclization technique can be expected to contribute to the application of short coacervatable ELPs to generate novel peptide-based functional biomaterials.
