What is it about?

This article argues that well-designed short-term study abroad programs can have just as much impact as longer immersion programs in the attitudes of participants, the longer-term professional development and network building of alumni, and subsequent internationalization of participants' education. It draws on a case study of a study abroad program in Ecuador that focuses on peacebuilding and development.
