What is it about?

This case reports on a 2 year old child with a pseudoaneurysm of the internal carotid artery, possibly secondary to ear infection.

Why is it important?

This is one of the youngest patients documented to date with this condition. If this rare condition remains undiagnosed and untreated, dire consequences and even death may result.

Perspectives

The excellent outcome for our patient in this case report made this a very rewarding experience.
