What is it about?

Roman maritime villas were luxurious residences for the leisure retreats fo the wealthy, but often they also had a productive sector exploiting the surrounding environment. The resources of the sea, such as fishing, aquaculture, and fish salting, were an important part of the production of these coastal estates.
