What is it about?
Gastric cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in the world. Helicobacter pylori screening followed by eradication treatment can prevent and reduce gastric cancer incidence for high-risk population. Currently, gastric cancer screening using upper gastrointestinal series and endoscopy has been performed in Japan.

Why is it important?
We demonstrated that Helicobacter pylori screening was cost-effective for the occupational setting. This is the first cost-effectiveness study of Helicobacter pylori screening for employees.
