What is it about?
The aim of this review was to explore the experiences of people with ID who identified as LGBT through an examination of studies that addressed their views and highlighted specific issues, concerns and service responses.

Perspectives
There is an increased interest in the experiences and needs of people with an ID identifying as LGBT, and the evidence base continues to grow and evolve. This review has uncovered important concerns that can guide and inform policy, education, practice and the support needs of people with ID who identify as LGBT as part of the drive towards more socially inclusive and responsive care.
