This study examines a series of unexpected and unexplained increases in medical emergency admissions. Man-made causes such as policy, etc can be discounted.

Why is it important?
Since this study was published in 2010 there have been additional events in 2012, 2014 and an ongoing event in 2016. Clearly this is not going to go away.
