What is it about?
Vegetable by products are the most common nutritious waste which adds to waste removal cost and increase the environmental pollution. This study assessed the use of carrot pomace power and cauliflower trimmings powder in a ready to eat snack. It was concluded that a savory snack could be developed using these ingredients which has high protein and fiber content.

Why is it important?
The research is important as it provides a product in form of a snack while utilizing zero cost vegetable byproducts which enhanced the quality of overall product as compared to rice based snacks.
Perspectives
It is our right to use Earth's resources but it is also important to use them wisely. This research helped me understand how wisely we can use our food products to improve quality of processed food which would cater to modern society's needs and reduce waste.
