Why is it important?

From the systems perspective, management of these conditions is affected by comorbidities such as systemic disease and neurological conditions (anxiety, depression and sleep disturbances). It is increasingly unsustainable to utilise specialists alone for the care of these conditions.

Perspectives

Right siteing of care and training of non-specialists are critical for healthcare in eyelid disease and dry eye, with an emphasis on preventive and holistic care.
