Superoxide does not react with hydrogen peroxide.

What is it about?

In water, superoxide does not react with hydrogen peroxide. Yet, time and time again this reaction is invoked to account for the hydroxyl radical, or, in this case, singlet dioxygen

Why is it important?

As to the timely part, I predicted in 2001 that the Haber Weiss reaction would resurface in 2018.
