The paper explains disabled accountants experience of accounting work. This includes: disabled people entering accounting employment and people becoming disabled during their accounting careers. The paper is seminal in that no prior work documents disabled accountants' employment experiences.

In much the same way that the large scale entry of females into the profession has feminised accounting, documenting and giving voice to disabled accountants has the potential to change accounting or the better.
