Mandibular retrognathism is one of the big issue not only for children but also adult due to airway problem. In this report, we discovered novel growth method for children with mandibular retrognathism by nutritional support.

Why is it important?
Our findings support the possibility to enforce mandibular growth not by orthodontic functional appliances but by nutritional supplementation. This would change future orthodontic treatment for growing children.
Perspectives
We wish no-appliance orthodontic treatment could be the therapeutic option for growing children with mandibular retrognathism.
