What is it about?

Measures have been introduced to prevent tourists from canceling when a crisis hits tourism destinations. This study investigates how to best prevent tourists from canceling based on the kind of crisis hit and based on the type of tourist.

Why is it important?

Tourism destinations are under constant threat of crises such as political and natural crises. Occurrence of critical events at tourism destinations leads to travel cancellations and demand drops. This impact is especially devastating for regions heavily dependent on tourism.
