What is it about?

An improved design and optimization procedure for wind turbine rotors is presented. Analytically optimizing wind turbine rotors considering generator performance has not been done before and this paper presents a technique to develop the optimum rotor for a given generator.

Why is it important?

The main objective of this research is to assist wind turbine developers to design optimum rotors for given electrical generators (as determined by customer requirements), suitable for wind characteristics at specific locations.

Perspectives

I hope this paper provides a more clear overview of the designing process of wind turbine rotors specially for new researchers and with the added improvements, it may become very useful platform for a wide range of research areas in the future.
