Irregular and Interrupted Internationalization: The Role of Critical Events

What is it about?

We study Brazilian exporters and, based on that, explain how various critical events can lead to disruption and, as a result, to irregular (de- and re-internationalization) and interrupted (switching) international pathways. We focus on event strength, time, and space, and encompass multiple (environmental, firm, individual) levels of events.
