This article is about the ways that teachers react (both emotionally and behaviorally) when they experience acts of violence committed against them.

This is important because findings indicate that many teachers simply do not report these incidents, and probably suffer silently.

Perspectives

Whereas many teachers seek support when they experience violence, others do not seek support, and some do not even share the occurrence of these events with family members or other school personnel.
