What is it about?

In communities where resources are scarce and institutional support is limited, women entrepreneurs can help each other keep their businesses running. Most research focuses on how women receive help. This study explores how women entrepreneurs help their female peers, even when they are struggling themselves. Based on data from low-income neighborhoods in Brazil, we show that women rely on peer support to improve their business survival.
