What is it about?

Social Responsibility is divers among SMEs. We analyse Social Responsibility in SMEs through the lens of social capital using a case study methodology of 4 SMEs.

Why is it important?

Socially responsible business are more important nowdays and SMEs must develop social responsibility towards different stakeholders. Due to several limitations that SME have, the development of social responsibility could be enhance using the social capital approach.

Perspectives

This article has been developed after the thesis of one of the co-authors (Altuna) focused on SMEs, and with the co-direction of the other two co-authors. So it has been a pleasure to see the fruits of this collaboration into a paper and hope that it helps SMEs and researchers to understand better social responsibility and social capital in this type of firms.
