What is it about?

Why is it important?

Cell transplantation for intervertebral disc repair is a rather new but promising field of research, providing a new therapy for still uncurable intervertebral disc degeneration. In-human studies are however still small in numbers, relatively small in size, and are differently designed. This review paper aims to update the readers on the differences in design, product, and their outcomes, to identify promising outcomes and shortcomings or questions that should be addressed by future studies.
