What is it about?

A book that reviews exhaustively the area of epoxy-based polymers and composites. Highlights the self-healing, thermally and electrically conductivity of epoxy resins. Includes new insights from more recent experimental and theoretical studies on the epoxy polymer and composites.

Why is it important?

This book consolidates information about multifunctional epoxy as a frontier material, its composites, engineering and applications in a very detailed manner that encompasses the entire spectrum of up-to-date literature citations, current market trends and patents. It highlights latest experimental and theoretical studies on the atypical properties of epoxy resins such as self-healing, thermally and electrically conductivity; and its applications in devices where there is reliance on unsustainable sourced inorganic materials with comparable properties. It caters to polymer chemists, physicists and engineers who are interested in the field of next generation epoxy polymers.

Perspectives

Editing this book gave me the opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge derived from the literatures I have accumulated during my PhD. Reading voluminous scientific works on the subject is particularly useful to an editor. I am very much thankful to all the contributors in this book for giving me the pleasure of reviewing and editing their work, and publishing it with Springer-Nature. Looking forward to more fruitful collaborations!
