What is it about?

Managerial coaching is becoming an important practice in business today. The most used scale to measure managerial coaching activity was developed in English. This paper presents a translation of this scale into Spanish (the second most spoken language on Earth, after Chinese) and into French.

Why is it important?

Given the globalization of the economy and business practices, it is becoming more and more important to do research with international (non-native English populations) to validate research originally done in USA. This translation will allow researchers to do research in managerial coaching with populations where Spanish and French are their preferred language.

Perspectives

The publication is timely because it provides a Spanish and French translation of the most popular measure of coaching, originally developed in English, thus allowing researchers and business people to do research in coaching globally and with culturally diverse populations. Furthermore, the statistical analysis showing that the measures in the different languages are equivalent is very strong and can be cited for anyone doing multicultural research or comparing structural models through different groups.
