Why is it important?

As India, now a part of the BRIC group of major emerging economies, continues to grow, the issues of antitrust will only gain in importance... as they have in all major global economies.

Perspectives

Over the years since this work, with the exception of USA, because of intense globalization, country-level antitrust issues are fast becoming irrelevant. In EU, the issues have moved to the higher level, the EU level. It will be interesting to observe how anti-monopoly laws play out in countries like India and Brazil in the foreseeable future.
